Republicans would always work much harder than Dems to be accurate and complete in their compliance, and then they would hit us for any screw ups.

Chris Massicotte—Sales Director, NGP

-previously FD for Rush Holt

-NGP has been very successful; 80% of D House members. All Senators but 4 use NGP

-Session is to find out about NGP and customer reactions.

-Not all functionality came over from desktop to online

-How is having blast email out of compliance database?

-NGP never used fuzzy logic to find duplicates, but they didn’t release it b/c it’s “scary” to have the computer making decisions for you

-A best case scenario: show list of possible matches to click through and change one by one

-Export tool hasn’t been worked on b/c people will use it incorrectly

-Flagging & possible errors in FEC program doesn’t get every error. Cannot submit with blank necessary field.

-We have an API; can pass information back and forth between the VAN, ActBlue. Always open to other vendors approaching NGP.

-Would it be easier to have a separate window for possible duplicates during an import? (Adrienne & Erin think so)

Mark Haggerty from Trellon

-People have had problems with bulk e-mail

-De-duplications need to be easier

-An exception list come up with possible duplicates

-What kinds of web integration possibilities are there?

Grassroots Democrats:

-A couple of issues with usability, designing of custom items (callsheets)

-Often difficult to select universe for broadcast emails

-Problems with state reports

1) Functionality with Desktop vs. online version (online version only 2 ½ years old)

2) Pulling lists for blast emails is a little convoluted

3) It might make sense to have it on a different database, but it might make it more difficult to have it because

-It takes time to refresh database when you save or move between pages

-It would be great to see a progress screen for list or Excel imports as a data cleanup tool

Adrienne Benson:

-Deputy FD Patrick Murphy for Congress

-Troubles with exporting records; takes way too long, especially by email

-NGP has great customer service
