Two biggest mistakes in web video:
-sound is not recorded properly
-they don’t use a tripod
With tripods, you get what you pay for.
Buy firewire and other transfer cables online; the mark up is significantly less. Also, consider buying an 18” cable because it is much more convenient than long cable.
If video editing is something you want to get involved in, then use a Mac. It offers more friendly programs.
Every camera handles lighting and color differently. Get to know your camera and adjust accordingly.
